Abstract:
A novel silicon compound flame retardant for organic polymers, characterized by comprising a monomer, a polymer, or a mixture of these which are represented by formula (1) wherein R?1¿ and R?2¿ each independently represents a monovalent C¿1-20? hydrocarbon group; R?3¿ and R?4¿ each independently represents a mono- or divalent C¿1-20? hydrocarbon group, provided when R?3¿ and R?4¿ each independently represents a divalent C¿1-20? hydrocarbon group, then R?3¿ and R?4¿ are bonded to each other to form a ring; and n is 1 or larger in terms of number-average value.
