Reference is first invited to the accompanying Figure 1 that schematically illustrates an embodiment of the spinning machine according to the invention for spinning silk yarn being operated either manually or by electrical motor.

It shown in the accompanying Figure 1, the device comprising a cocoon tray (1) used to keep the treated cocoons from where the bunch of silk filaments are dragged out by the device. A water pot (3) is used to keep the water required during spinning. The cocoon tray (1), the water pot (3) and other equipments are mounted on a desk (2) of suitable size and supported on a MS frame (15) of suitable height. A center thread guide (4) is selectively positioned on the desk so that the bunch of silk filaments passes through the guide and then through a moti spring (9) are disposed to the plyer (8) for providing desired twist and finally wound on the bobbin (5). The plyer (8) is used to insert desired twist to the filaments to form spun yarn before being wound on bobbin (5). The inner walls of the centre thread guide (4) and the moti springs (9) are made of china clay in order to have minimum friction to ensure superior yarn quality. When the device is in operation, the difference in rotation (RPM) between the plyer (8) fitted parallel to the bobbin (5), horizontal to the ground and that of the bobbin (5) creates twist in the bunch of filaments and makes the yarn. A feed adjuster (19) regulates the difference in rotation between the plyer (8) and the bobbin (5), thus regulates the twist in the yarn. The plyer (8) is connected directly to a balance axle (11) which rotates at higher speed than the Bobbin (5), as its rotation is reduced/regulated by feed adjuster (19). A balance wheel (10) mounted on the balance axle (11) supported on frame (15) by means of bearing with cover (12) and driven by electric motor (20) maintains the balance and the RPM of the plyer (8). Power is transmitted from the motor (20) by a round belt (13), connecting the motor pulley (14) and the pulley attached to the balance axle (11). The balance wheel (10) maintains the balance and the RPM of the plyer (8).

When the device is run manually by paddle (25), a fly wheel (17) mounted provides momentum for smooth rotation. The fly wheel (18) is connected with fly wheel axle (17), which holds the fly wheel and supported on Frame (15) with bearing and MS cover (16). A connecting rod connects (21) the fly wheel and the paddle crank. A fitment rod (23) connects the paddle (25) to the fly wheel connecting rod (21). A ball catcher (22) helps to transmit power from the paddle (25) to the fly wheel (18) for manual driving of the spinning machine. A paddle adjuster (26) adjusts the fixation of the paddle (25) with the frame (15):

The spinning machine is also adapted to be powered by an electrical motor (20) of suitable ratings. The motor receives electrical power from external supply source by means of electric wire (6) and a three pin socket (7). Alternatively, power is provided from a storage cell which is recharged by solar photovoltaic cells. The supply power to motor passes through an accelerator (24) where there is a knob (similar to fan regulator) that fixes the maximum speed of the motor (20). The accelerator (24) helps regulating the speed while the machine is in operation. Thus the spinning machine according to the present invention is adapted to operate either by electric supply or the device is run by paddle operation. To select any of such option, the operator needs to change the round belt only to connect to corresponding drive system.

It is thus possible by way of the present invention to developing a device to spun silk yarn which is simple, efficient and low cost to thereby produce high quality silk yarn consistently and reliably free of any deterioration of silk quality. Advantageously, the silk yarn spinning machine according to the present invention is adapted to be operated by either electric motor or by simple manual paddle operation while ensuring equal speed and efficiency of operation. Importantly, the center thread guide and the moti spring through which passes before being twisted is made of china clay in order to have minimum friction to ensure spun yarn quality avoiding undesired heating. The machine also ensure providing desired twist to the bunch of silk filaments extracted from processed cocoons involving a plyer and the differential speed of rotation of the plyer and the bobbin, said differential rotational speed regulated by a feed adjuster, favour creating the required twists in filaments to make desired quality of spun yarn in a reliable and cost effective manner.
