Abstract:
Provided are a silver-coated glass powder and a method for manufacturing the glass powder with which it is possible to increase conversion efficiency of a solar cell when the silver-coated glass powder is used as a material in an electroconductive paste for forming an electrode of the solar cell on a substrate, and with which it is possible to increase adhesion strength between the electrode and the substrate. In this silver-coated glass powder, a coating layer having silver (and tellurium) as a primary component is formed on the surface of glass powder that includes 15-50% by mass of tellurium and 5-30% by mass of bismuth, the silver content of the silver-coated glass powder being 5-20% by mass.
