Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a silver nanowire that exhibits superior dispersibility even in ink having an alcohol added thereto, and that is of a long and thin shape and covered with an organic protectant containing few impurities. [Solution] Provided is a silver nanowire that: comprises one or more types of copolymers having a vinyl pyrrolidone structural unit; is coated with a copolymer composition which has a sulfur content Sppm of at most 2000 ppm, and in which a residual vinyl pyrrolidone monomer content rate VPR, as determined by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy is at most 6.0%; and has an average diameter of 30 nm or less and an average length of 10 μm or more.
