The production method for a silver particle-containing composition according to the present invention is a production method for a composition containing a silver particle of which the surface is covered by a fatty acid, and is provided with: a process (A), in which a silver particle with a surface covered by a first fatty acid (a) having 3-7 carbon atoms, a second fatty acid (b) having 2-20 carbon atoms, and a solvent in which the first and second fatty acids can each be dispersed are prepared; a process (B), in which the silver particle covered with the first fatty acid (a) and the second fatty acid (b) are added into the solvent; and a process (C), in which the first fatty acid (a) covering the surface of the silver particle is replaced with the second fatty acid (b), subsequent to the process in which the substances are added into the solvent.
