Abstract:
A silver powder which can have a viscosity falling within a proper range when prepared into a paste, can be kneaded easily, and does not undergo the generation of flakes. A silver powder is used, which has a specific surface area ratio (SAB/SAS), i.e., the ratio of a specific surface area (SAB) as measured by a BET method to a specific surface area (SAS) as calculated from an average primary particle diameter (Ds) measured on a scanning electron microscope, of 0.5 to 0.9. It is preferred that the silver powder has a degree of agglomeration, which is a value determined by dividing a volume cumulative 50% diameter (D50) as measured by a laser diffraction scattering method by the above-mentioned Ds value, of 1.5 to 5.0.
