Abstract:
Provided are: a silyl-terminated resin composition which has excellent storage stability before curing, and which provides a cured product that has a low initial modulus and is capable of maintaining the low modulus even after a heat acceleration test; and a method for producing this silyl-terminated resin composition.
This silyl-terminated resin composition is characterized by containing a silyl-terminated resin and a surface-treated calcium carbonate which is obtained by surface-treating calcium carbonate with a fatty acid, said calcium carbonate having a BET specific surface area within the range of from 1 m2/g to 60 m2/g, and which has an alkali metal content within the range of from 500 μg/g to 2,000 μg/g and a free fatty acid fraction as determined by ethanol extraction within the range of from 1.8% by mass to 2.5% by mass.
