Abstract:
Provided is a simple water intake gate control system that can shorten the duration of operating at minimum generator output. A simple water intake gate control system for using in a simple water intake gate 3 that is raised to a fully open position so that the water intake channel water level WL is the same as the river water level RL during normal operation and that takes in water for small scale hydroelectric power generation from a river 1 to a water intake channel 2, wherein the simple water intake gate control system is provided with a control unit 10 for raising the simple water intake gate 3 to the fully open position by repeatedly raising the gate by a fixed opening increment I under the condition that the water intake channel water level WL is not at a dangerous water level DL within a fixed time period T after the simple water intake gate 3 has been lowered to a fully closed position when the water intake channel water level WL has reached the dangerous water level DL due to rising water in the river 1.
