Abstract:
A simulated high definition map generation method and apparatus (1301, 1401, 1501), and a computer readable storage medium, which are used for generating a simulated high definition map used in a self-driving simulation system. A map generation apparatus (1301, 1401, 1501) acquires a demand for generating a high definition map (S101). According to the demand, the map generation apparatus selects from a base unit database a plurality of base units meeting the demand, wherein the base units are high definition map segments having classification labels (S102). The map generation apparatus generates a simulated high definition map by splicing the plurality of base units (S103). As a plurality of base units are pre-stored in a base unit database, if there is a demand, a plurality of base units meeting the demand can be selected from the base unit database, and the plurality of base units are spliced so as to generate a simulated high definition map, thereby saving manpower in the process of generation of a simulated high definition map, increasing the speed of generation of a simulated high definition map, and lowering the cost of a simulated high definition map.
