Abstract:
Disclosed are a single-choice pattern based unlocking method and apparatus for a terminal. The method comprises: generating an unlocking matrix on a terminal, wherein a name character familiar to a user is written in each square of the unlocking matrix as an unlock password; acquiring password information, the user clicking on a corresponding square of the unlocking matrix, and the click of the user being automatically converted to a corresponding character string password; and matching the passwords, and comparing the acquired password with a pre-set password for unlocking. Compared with an unlocking method based on a digital password, the method uses name characters familiar to a user to replace monotonous numbers, thus overcoming the defect that a digital password is easily forgotten. For an unlocking method based on a sudoku-mode pattern, due to the non-changeability of the unlock pattern, the password is too simple and is easily discovered. A location of each name character, and some names in an unlocking matrix in the method randomly change, so that the security is high.
