Title:
SINGLE CYLINDER ENGINE MISFIRE DETECTION DEVICE, METHOD, AND VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/179341
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention aims to enable accurate misfire determination in a single cylinder engine without measuring inter-gear teeth errors in a crank pulsar rotor. A crank angle speed measurement unit (5b) measures the angle speed for each crank angle. A 720° filter treatment unit (6b) removes load change and friction change components. A relative angle speed calculation unit (7b) calculates the relative angle speed for each crank angle, relative to a reference angle speed detected in the vicinity of the compression top dead center and exhaust top dead center of the engine. A cumulative angle speed calculation unit (8b) cumulates the relative angle speed within a prescribed crank angle range and calculates the cumulative angle speed for the expansion stroke and the intake stroke, respectively. A misfire parameter calculation unit (10b) calculates misfire parameters from the cumulative angle speed, the reference angle speed, and a pumping torque component preset in an ECU. A misfire determination unit (11b) determines the presence of a misfire, on the basis of these misfire parameters.
