A single end high gas pressure discharge lamp with a base is provided with an arc tube, the arc tube is provided with a first neck body and a second neck body, a first electrode and a second electrode in the arc tube is respectively connected to a first and a second electrode leads which extend to the outside of the arc tube, the first electrode lead is electrically connected to a first power supply connect terminal which is disposed on the base in the same end. There is provided an envelop outside the arc tube and the neck bodies, a fixed frame-ring which is securely connected to the base is sheathed on an outerwall of the envelop, the second electrode lead extends outwardly from the second neck body, in turn, is bended from an innerwall of the envelop downwardly to the base direction, penetrates through from a lower portion of the envelop through a molybdenum foil quartz seal, and is electrically connected to a second power supply connect terminal on the base. The present discharge lamp is safe in use, is stable in structure, has good resistance to shake, may endure high voltage, and may act as a head lamp for car.
