Abstract:
Disclosed is a single-handed automatic-protection descender, comprising a housing. The housing is provided with a lock hole, a limiting frictional portion, an unlocking descending frictional portion, and a self-locking tooth socket. A rope entrance and exit opening for threading a rope is provided between the limiting frictional portion and the unlocking descending frictional portion. The single-handed automatic-protection descender further comprises an auxiliary tooth socket. The auxiliary tooth socket and the self-locking tooth socket are located on two sides of a lock hole, respectively, and the position of the auxiliary tooth socket is lower than that of the self-locking tooth socket. The present invention can achieve operation with a single hand when the descender is used to descend on a rope, and immediate automatic protection by the descender when the hand releases a brake rope. In a process of descending on the rope, the present invention will automatically enter a protection mode when a tail end of the rope has not been tied with a protection knot, such that when the rope of a descending user runs out, the rope will not come out and cause the user to fall, thereby achieving automatic protection in a two-rope descent scenario.
