Abstract:
The invention discloses a single-host multi-workstation computer system and equipment configuration method thereof. The system includes one host, and at least one separate graphics card and at least one workstation card are installed in the host. There are graphics card and input/output interfaces integrated in the workstation card. The method includes the following steps: (a) identifying all the workstation cards accessing to the host; making every workstation card correspond to an extended workstation; and making all the separate graphics cards correspond to the original workstation; (b) allocating the integrated graphics card on the workstation card and all the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) devices accessing to the same workstation card to the extended workstation corresponding to the workstation card; allocating the other HCI devices to an original workstation. Provided with the invention described above, all the configuration of "uni-host multi-workstation" for all the HCI devices can be done automatically, and the configuration logic is simple and clear; the division of the workstations is intuitive; and any of the USB devices can be hot-plugged by users.
