Abstract:
Provided are a single-phase induction motor control method, a control device, and an electric chain block that make it possible to properly determine a motor overload, even in a state where the single-phase induction motor is repeatedly feeding electrical power to an auxiliary coil. The single-phase induction motor comprises a main coil ML, an auxiliary coil AL, a capacitor C, and an SSR power circuit 121, and in the single-phase induction motor control method, an electrical current is fed to the main coil ML via the SSR power circuit 121 from a single-phase alternating current power source 200, and the electrical current is fed to the auxiliary coil AL if the load is large. An overload is determined in accordance with the proportion of an energization time during which the electrical current is fed to the auxiliary coil AL during a prescribed time period.
