Disclosed is a single-shaft hollow spiral sludge drying apparatus, comprising a housing for accommodating the passage of sludge, a hollow spiral shaft penetrating through the inner cavity of the housing, the hollow spiral shaft comprising a main shaft and blades helically arranged along the main shaft, the blades and the main shaft both being hollow structures, and the cavities of the two parts being in communication with each other; one end of the hollow screw shaft is connected to a drive apparatus and, driven by the drive apparatus, rotates in the housing, the blades of the hollow screw shaft pushing the sludge in the housing forward. The present utility model is provided with a hollow spiral shaft running through the inner cavity of the housing of the sludge drying apparatus; while the hollow spiral shaft rotates, its spiral blade pushes the sludge in the housing forward; since the sludge is pushed forward by means of the blades, there is no requirement concerning the rotational speed of the blades, therefore the blades are not prone to wear; at the same time, because of the propulsion of the blades, gel phase material does not accumulate in the equipment.
