Title:
SINGLE-SLOT CURRENT-COLLECTING HOMOPOLAR ELECTROMAGNETIC TRANSMISSION AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/236439
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A single-slot current-collecting homopolar electromagnetic transmission (HET) is a continuously variable transmission, wherein each rotor at least has one magnetic and electric conductor; a stator at least has one direct-current excitation coil, and has a coolant channel; at least two main magnetic circuits are provided and pass through the magnetic and electric conductor; and there is a main circuit that passes through the magnetic and electric conductor and a liquid metal gap between the rotor and the stator, wherein the radius of the gap is smaller than the maximum radius of the rotor, and the gap is of an inverted-U shape, and communicates with a single-slot gap. The electromagnetic performance of the present invention is adjusted by changing an excitation current. The present invention solves the problems of existing mechanical continuously variable transmissions, hydraulic torque converters and alternating-current and variable-frequency speed regulation transmission systems, such as function insufficiency, poor performance and high cost, and the problems brought about by an existing HET using a heat dissipation scheme of liquid metal full-flow circulation to the outside of a machine are also prevented. The applications of the HET include vehicle power, wind power generation and power grid peak regulation, and engine fuel energy, wind energy, power grid electric energy, flywheel energy storage and vehicle kinetic energy involved therein can be comprehensively and efficiently utilized.
