Abstract:
The present invention provides a sintered friction material having a high braking force, with the braking force having excellent high-temperature stability. This sintered friction material comprises a chemical composition that contains, in mass%, 7.5% or more of Fe, 50% or more of Cu, 5-15% of graphite, 0.3-7% of molybdenum disulfide, and 0.5-10% of silica, wherein Fe/Cu is 0.15-0.40.
