Abstract:
Provided are: a sintered lithium lanthanum titanium oxide which has a lithium ion conductivity of 3.0 × 10-4 Scm-1 or more at a measurement temperature of 27°C; and a method for producing the sintered lithium lanthanum titanium oxide. A sintered lithium lanthanum titanium oxide which is obtained by sintering a mixed starting material powder that contains S in an amount of 2,000 ppm or less relative to the total amount of the mixed starting material powder containing a titanium starting material, a lithium starting material and a lanthanum starting material, which is represented by one of general formula (1-a)LaxLi2-3xTiO3-aSrTiO3, general formula (1-a)LaxLi2-3xTiO3-aLa0.5K0.5TiO3, general formula LaxLi2-3xTi1-aMaO3-a, and general formula Srx-1.5aLaaLi1.5-2xTi0.5Ta0.5O3 (wherein 0.55 ≤ x ≤ 0.59, 0 ≤ a ≤ 0.2, and M represents at least one element selected from among Al, Fe and Ga), and which has an S concentration of 1,500 ppm or less.
