Abstract:

A sintered gear (1) formed of a sintered body (M') and serving as a sintered mechanical component which, in conjunction with the input of a load on the outer diameter surface from another member, rotates while sliding with respect to a shaft (S) inserted into the inner circumference. The sintered body (M') comprises an inside layer (2) containing Cu, and an outside layer (3) which is sintered together with the inside layer (2) while in contact with the inside layer (2). The primary components of the outside layer (3) are Fe and Cu, and Sn as a low-melting-point metal, and the primary constituents of the metal structure are Fe structures and Cu-Sn alloy structures that exist at the grain boundary of the Fe structures and bind the Fe structures to each other.
