Abstract:
A process for manufacturing a high-quality sintered steel characterized by providing a microwave generator between a raw material charge unit in a Dwight-Lloyd sintering machine and an ignition furnace therein, (1) heating a superficial portion of a raw material to 120-600 �C with a microwave alone, or (2) heating a superficial portion of a raw material to 50-200 �C with a microwave, and then to 150-600 �C by sucking hot blast, or (3) heating a superficial portion of a raw material to 150-600 �C by using a microwave and hot blast at once, and then drying/heating/sintering the superficial portion of the material to a high temperature speedily in a short period of time without causing the pseudo particles in the superficial portion of the sintered material to be broken.
