Abstract:

Provided is a sizing agent for fibers with which it is possible to suppress hardening of fiber bundles over time.　A sizing agent for fibers, the sizing agent containing (A) an epoxy resin and (B) a surfactant, wherein: the complex viscosity of the nonvolatile content of the sizing agent at 25°C, at a strain of 0.005, and at a frequency of 1 Hz is 1×102 to 1×104 Pa·s; and the loss elastic modulus of the nonvolatile content of the sizing agent at 120°C, at a strain of 0.005, and at a frequency of 1 Hz is 1-15 Pa. The sizing agent for fibers according to the first embodiment is preferably such that the epoxy resin (A) contains a compound (a1) expressed by general formula (1).
