Abstract:
Provided are: a sizing agent for reinforcing fibers, which has high viscosity at high temperatures, while having excellent heat resistance at the same time; and reinforcing fibers which are provided with this sizing agent.
A sizing agent for reinforcing fibers, which contains at least one component selected from among the component (I) and the component (II) described below. Component (I): a compound obtained by reacting a titanium compound (A) and a compound (B) having an active hydrogen group. Component (II): a titanium compound (A) and a compound (B) having an active hydrogen group. It is preferable that the compound (B) contains a compound (B1) having a hydroxyl group. It is also preferable that the compound (B1) contains at least one resin selected from among epoxy resins, polyester resins, urethane resins and polyether polyol resins.
