Abstract:
Without damaging the edges of the band plates or using a complicated control system, the disclosed skew prevention device can stabilize post-slitting band plates in the center of a conveyor and also makes it possible to stabilize unstable plate movement such as back-end-first plate movement after sectioning. Said skew prevention device for slit band plates runs slit band plates (S1 and S2) through a pinch roller which has: a lower roller (12) that supports the bottom surfaces of the slit band plates; and an upper roller (11) which contacts the upper surfaces of the slit band plates and is segmented in the width direction of the plates so as to be able to move the slit band plates towards the center of the conveyor by outside-only pressure or an inwards skew angle. The conveyor-center-side edge regions of the slit band plates are clamped between the aforementioned lower roller and either the segmented upper roller or a center roller (2) provided near the conveyor-center-side segmentation edge of the segmented upper roller. The pinch roller is provided with a center guide (1) that guides the conveyor-center-side edges of the slit band plates restrained by the aforementioned clamping.
