Abstract:
The present invention provides a skin cosmetic that has excellent massage properties, that can generate foam during massaging and form a foam-containing coating film, that has excellent coating film performance, and that makes cleansing easy. The present invention also provides a skincare method wherein cleansing is performed by applying the skin cosmetic of the present invention to skin and massaging. A skin cosmetic that contains components (A)-(E): (A) 0.9-13.5 weight% of an alkyl ether carboxylic acid or a salt thereof, (B) 3.0-40.0 weight% of an oil, (C) 0.3-1.9 weight% of xanthan gum, (D) 0.35-1.5 weight% of an acrylate polymer, and (E) water. The total content (C)+(D) of components (C) and (D) is 0.8-3.0 weight%, the weight ratio ((C)+(D))/(A) of the total content of components (C) and (D) to component (A) is 0.18-3.33, and the content ratio [(C)/(D)] of component (C) to component (D) is 0.25-3.0.
