Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a skin whitening agent that is effective for preventing or inhibiting melanin pigmentation, such as pigmented spots, flecks, and dullness in the skin. More specifically, the present invention provides: a skin whitening agent that contains at least one type of a D-amino acid selected from the group consisting of D-asparagine, D-valine, D-allo-threonine, D-lysine, D-glutamine, D-histidine, D-leucine, D-phenylalanine, D-serine, D-tryptophan, and D-tyrosine; and a method for making an assessment of skin by means of a D-amino acid.
