Abstract:
Disclosed is a skylight that controls illumination and admits sunlight through a roof instead of through a sidewall, uses an optical diffuser plate to induce soft light, and is capable of being installed by one person. The skylight according to the present invention comprises: a lower frame fixed by being inserted upward from the bottom of an installation hole in a roof; a skylight frame having a light transmitting plate attached to the top of a frame member functioning as a frame on top of the lower frame to admit sunlight, and having a skylight plate formed as a polypropylene optical diffuser plate inserted into the lower frame at the bottom of the frame member so as to form a double layer spaced apart a predetermined distance from the light transmitting plate; and an upper frame that does not shield the light transmitting plate of the skylight frame but covers the top thereof such that the bottom of the upper frame is fixed on the roof surface. Here, a chassis is mounted on the perimeter at the bottom of the frame member, a rod body is formed at the bottom of the chassis, and a cover plate having an insert ring to be inserted into the rod body is coupled to widen so as to enable replacement of the skylight plate. Further, an insertion groove is formed inside at the top of the lower frame, a bracket bent by means of a joint is inserted into the insertion groove, a ratchet projection is formed to catch on surfaces of the bracket and insertion groove that contact each other, so as to be only inserted and not extracted, and the top of the bracket is bent outwardly and fixed by a fastening piece on the roof surface.
