Abstract:
The present invention relates to a slab processing method and a slab processing system, which can manufacture hot rolled steel plates with high quality edges and increase the operating rate of machinery. In particular, a slab processing method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a slab for processing; scarfing the edge regions of the slab prior to cooling the slab to a temperature below 600°C; and post-processing the slab.
