Abstract:
Provided is a reliable slag discharge system which can stably discharge slag at a low cost, wherein the layout of the slag discharge system can be flexibly changed. The slag discharge system is configured so that slag (S) discharged after generating flammable gas in a gasification furnace (1) is rapidly cooled into a glassy slag (S) in cooling water, and the slag (S) discharged from the gasification furnace (1) to the outside of the system together with the cooling water is collected by a slag holder (21), and after that, the slag (S) is transferred from the slag holder (21) to a slag storage tank (13). The slag discharge system is comprised of a slag slurry tank (23) for collecting the slag (S) from the slag holder (21) and slurrying the slag in water, a slag slurry pipe (25) for coupling the slag slurry tank (23) to the slag storage tank (13), and a pump (27) which is disposed in the slag slurry pipe (25) and which sucks slag slurry within the slag slurry tank (23) to feed the slag slurry to the slag storage tank (13).
