Abstract:

The present invention provides a slave cylinder in which a first input port (76a) disposed in a first slave liquid chamber (64) is connected to a master cylinder (M/C) through a shut-off value (MCV1) so that the first input port (76a) can be shut off, and a second input port (76b) disposed in a second slave liquid chamber (66) is connected to the master cylinder (M/C) through a second shut-off valve (MCV2) so that the second input port (76b) can be shut off. The slave cylinder is provided with: a first air port (57a) which is formed in a first rear chamber (71) disposed to the rear of the first slave liquid chamber (64) and operating in cooperation with a first piston (62); a second air port (57b) which is formed in a second rear chamber (56) disposed in front of the first slave liquid chamber (64) and to the rear of the second slave liquid chamber (66) and operating in cooperation with a second piston (63); and a regulating means (79) which regulates the backward movement of the second piston (63), the second air port (57b) being located close to the regulating means (79) in the axial direction of a cylinder (61). The responsiveness of a downstream liquid pressure can therefore be improved.
