Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sleeping pillow that can help deep sleep by encouraging autonomous free movement of the occipital bone during contraction and relaxation of the occipital bone using natural and medical principles where each part of cranial bones is contracted and relaxed according to breathing. The sleeping pillow comprises: a base that contacts the ground and that has a contact surface having an arc shape where an upper surface thereof is curved; a freely-moving body that is placed on an upper part of the base and that has a contact surface having a curved arc shape corresponding to the contact surface so as to freely move along the contact surface towards one or the other side with reference to the centre of mass; a link member that fixes the freely-moving body on the upper part of the base and that limits the movement range of the freely-moving body; and a head support that is fixed to the upper part of the freely-moving body so as to support a user's head, and that is arranged to be able to be slanted according to the movement of the freely-moving body, thereby the sleeping pillow does not lean to one side due to pressure with respect to a neck region while retaining a natural curve of the cervical vertebrae, the part supporting a lower part of the occipital bone encourages and facilitates free movement corresponding to expansion and contraction of the cranial bones when the cerebrospinal fluid circulates by breathing, and can thereby facilitate rhythmical movement of the occiput during sleep, minimise occipital pressure, and allow the cerebrospinal fluid to circulate normally during or before sleep so as to allow deep sleep.
