Abstract:
Provided are a slice information update method and apparatus. The method comprises: when determining that a network slice that was not supported by a PLMN is updated to be supported, a network slice selection network element sending a notification message to a communication network element, the notification message being used for indicating that the PLMN supports the network slice, and then the communication network element giving a terminal, which failed to request for the network slice and subscribed to the network slice, a notification: the PLMN currently supports the network slice. Thus, it is realized that a corresponding terminal is enabled to learn that the PLMN currently supports the network slice.
