Abstract:
Provided is a slidable constant speed universal joint (3) that allows a coil spring (21) to be stably interposed therein at a predetermined position, that enables the assembly state thereof to be viewed from the outside, that mitigates buckling and deformation of the coil spring (21), and that exhibits stable sliding characteristics. The slidable constant speed universal joint is configured to enable torque transmission while permitting angular displacement and axial displacement, and comprises: an elastic member (21) provided inside the external joint member (4) and expanding and contracting in the axial direction between an external joint member (4) and the tip of a shaft (1) coupled to an internal joint member (5); a shaft protruding part (27) provided on the tip of the shaft (1) to support an internal diameter part of an end portion on the shaft (1) side of the elastic member (21); a receiving member (24) mounted to the end portion on the external joint member (4) side of the elastic member (21) and fitted into the internal diameter part of the elastic member (21); and an end plate (23) press-fit into the inner surface of the external joint member (4), wherein the receiving member (24) is made to press against the end plate (23) on the inner surface of the external joint member (4).
