Provided is a container with child lock having a simple structure and for preventing accidents caused by children. This container (1) with child lock is provided with a rectangular tube-shaped bottom container (2) and a lid (20) which seals the bottom container (2). On a pair of side plates (6, 6) of the bottom container (20), inner side plates (7), which are situated to the inner side, are provided at the front plate (4) side, and action plates (8) are provided which are disposed outside of the inner side plates (7) and extend in parallel with the inner side plates (7) from the front plate (4). Further, at the rear of each of the action plates (8), an engaging piece (10) is inwardly provided, with an engaging step (9) therebetween. A protrusion (11) is provided on the outer surface of each of the engaging pieces (10), and grooves (26) which engage with the protrusions (11, 11) on the bottom container (2) are provided on a pair of side plates (23, 23) of the lid (20). By pressing the action plates (8, 8) of the bottom container (2) inwardly, the engagement between the protrusions (11, 11) of the bottom container (2) and the grooves (26) of the lid (20) is released.
