CLAIMS
1. A slide bar set (1) for handshower, comprising a bar (2) with which a slider (3) for supporting said handshower is slidingly associated, said bar (2) being connected to end supports (4,5) that are suitable to be fixed to the walls of a space where installation is intended, characterized in that at least one of said supports (4,5) comprises an articulated joint (6,8,9,10) that is adapted for the coupling of the end of the bar that reaches said support (4,5).
2. The slide bar set according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one of the supports (4,5) of the bar (2) comprises an articulated ball joint (6,8,9,10) that is adapted for the coupling of the end of said bar (2).
3. The slide bar set according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said articulated ball joint comprises a main body (6) provided with means (7a, 7b) for coupling to a wall and with a seat (8) for a spherical body (9) that comprises a hole (10) suitable to have one end of the bar (2) engaged therewith, a ring (11) being provided which is suitable to be associated with the main body (6) so as to ensure that the spherical body (9) is kept in position in its seat (8), allowing relative movements, an enclosure (12,13) being further provided which is suitable to constitute an outer container of said ball joint.
4. The slide bar set according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that both supports (4,5) provided respectively at the ends of the bar (2) each comprise an articulated joint (6,8,9,10) that is adapted for the coupling of the respective end of the bar (2).
Description:
SLIDE BAR SET FOR HANDSHOWER Technical field The present invention relates to a slide bar set for handshower.

Background art It is known that it is possible to associate handshowers with a device, known as slide bar set, which comprises a slider designed to support the handshower and slidable along a bar that has, at its ends, supports suitable to be fixed to the wall of the enclosure or space intended for installation, such as a shower cubicle; the bar is fixed vertically, thus allowing to adjust the height of the handshower.

Known slide bar sets have rigid supports at the ends of the bar, and this fact causes difficulties for the correct coupling of the bar to walls that are not perfectly flat, as in the case for example of walls that are tiled up to a certain height: the difficulties entailed by fixing the bar with a rigid support on the tiled part and one on the untiled part of the wall are readily evident.

Moreover, with known slide bar sets the bar can be fixed only to one of the walls of the space where installation is intended.

Disclosure of the Invention The aim of the present invention is therefore to provide a slide bar set for handshower that is highly flexible in its fixing methods, so as to facilitate as much as possible the installation personnel assigned to the fitting operations.

This aim is achieved by a slide bar set for handshower according to the invention, comprising a bar with which a slider for supporting the handshower is slidingly associated, said bar being connected to end supports that are suitable to be fixed to the walls of the space where installation is intended, characterized in that at least one of said supports comprises an articulated joint that is adapted for the coupling of the end of the bar that reaches said support.

Brief description of the drawings Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will

become better apparent from the description of an embodiment of the invention, illustrated only by way of non-limitative example in the accompanying drawings, wherein: Figure 1 is a perspective general view of the slide bar set of the invention; Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view of the lower support; Figures 3 and 4 are views of two applications of the invention.

Ways of carrying out the invention With reference to the figures, the reference numeral 1 generally designates a slide bar set according to the invention, which comprises a bar 2, with which a handshower supporting slider 3 is slidingly associated; the bar is connected to end supports 4 and 5, which are designed to be fixed to the walls of a space where installation is intended.

Such supports are identical and therefore only the support designated by the reference numeral 4 is described in detail.

Such support comprises a main body 6, which is suitable to be fixed to a wall by way of screws that pass through holes 7a and 7b and is provided with a seat 8 for a spherical body 9 that comprises a hole 10 suitable to receive one end of the bar 2.

There is also a ring 11, which is associated with the main body 6 by way of snap-action couplings such as 11a and keeps in position the spherical body 9, allowing it to move in the seat; finally, the reference numerals 12 and 13 designate the two half-shells of a covering enclosure.

Accordingly, an articulated ball joint for connection to the end of the bar 2 is provided within the support 4, and the same occurs in the support 5, allowing to obtain functional characteristics such as the ones shown in Figures 3 and 4.

In Figure 3, the slide bar set is mounted on a wall that has a region 14a that protrudes with respect to a region 14b: as clearly shown, the presence of the articulated ball joints in the supports 4 and 5 allows the bar 2 a slightly inclined position that is perfectly compatible with the fixing of the supports

4 and 5 to the respective wall regions.

Figure 4 is a view of the mounting of the slide bar set 1 by fixing the supports 4 and 5 to the two walls 15 and 16 that meet in a corner of the installation space.

A slide bar set has thereby been provided that is highly flexible in its assembly conditions and therefore can be adopted advantageously in many installations.

In the practical embodiment of the invention, the articulated joint provided in the supports of the bar can be obtained in manners other than the ones described; moreover, only one of the supports may be provided with the articulated joint, while the other support remains of the conventional type.

The disclosures in Italian Utility Model No. MN2001U000004 from which this application claims priority are incorporated herein by reference.
