Abstract:
A slide fastener (A), and luggage using the same. The slide fastener consists of a pair of toothed chains (1), two sliders (2), an elastic plate (3), and a releasing plate (4). Bottom portions of each of the sliders (2) have a fixation member (22) with identical shapes. One end of the elastic plate (3) is fixed to the fixation member (22) of one of the sliders (2), and the other end thereof is connected to the fixation member (22) of the adjacent slider (2), thereby connecting the two sliders (2). The two sliders move together, so that the slide fastener (A) cannot be opened. The slide fastener (A) can only be opened when the two sliders (2) have been pulled to the releasing plate (4) at an unlocking end and the elastic plate (3) has been released, and the slider (2) farthest from the unlocking end is pulled away from the unlocking end, such that the two sliders (2) are separated. When the slide fastener (A) is to be closed, only one of the sliders (2) at either side needs to be pulled to move toward the other slider (2), so that the two sliders (2) are re-connected through the elastic plate (3). The slide fastener (A) has a simple structure and is low-cost and is easy to install.
