Abstract:
The disclosed slide fastener (1, 6, 61) has a pair of first and second separable interfitting parts (10, 20, 40, 45, 50, 70, 80) that are fixed to the first and second fastener stringers (2a, 2b, 62a, 62b). The first separable interfitting part (10, 50, 70) has a slider-holding part (11, 51, 72). The second separable interfitting part (20, 40, 45, 80) is configured so that it can be inserted into and withdrawn from the slider (30, 90a) when the slider is held on the slider-holding part (11, 51, 72) with a space for the tape to be inserted and pulled through therebetween. A protruding part (24, 44, 49, 85) is disposed at the front end of the second separable interfitting part (20, 40, 45, 80). When the width of the protruding part (24, 44, 49, 85) is a first dimension A, the distance between the back end of the side surface (24c, 49c, 85c) of the protruding part (24, 44, 49, 85) and the tip (24e, 49e, 85e) of the side that faces said first separable interfittinging part (10, 50, 70) is a second dimension B, and the distance between the guide pillar (34, 94) of the slider (30, 90a) and the flange (35, 95) is a third dimension C, said protruding part (24, 44, 49, 85) satisfies the relationship that the first dimension A < the third dimension C < the second dimension B. By said configuration, when the second separable interfitting part (20, 40, 45, 80) is held in a normal position, the element rows (4, 64) can be interlocked smoothly. Meanwhile, when the second separable interlocking part (20, 40, 45, 80) is in an abnormal position, incorrect interlocking of the right and left element rows (4, 64) can be prevented.
