A slide rail assembly and a refrigerator. The slide rail assembly comprises: a lower slide rail provided with a lower rail gear rack; a middle slide rail located above the lower slide rail and slidably connected to the lower slide rail; an upper slide rail provided with an upper rail gear rack, wherein the upper slide rail is located above the middle slide rail and is slidably connected to the middle slide rail; and a gear rotationally arranged on the middle slide rail, wherein the gear respectively meshes with the upper rail gear rack and the lower rail gear rack; and the upper slide rail is configured to slide along the middle slide rail under the action of external force and drive the gear to rotate by means of the upper rail gear rack, such that the middle slide rail is driven to slide along the lower slide rail under rotation of the gear. The lower rail gear rack and the upper rail gear rack respectively mesh with the gear, such that movement of the upper slide rail and the middle slide rail is more controllable, friction and collision between the middle slide rail and the lower slide rail and between the middle slide rail and the upper slide rail are reduced, and in turn noise is reduced.
