Abstract:
A slider (116, 216, 316) is provided for use with a fastener assembly (114, 314) of a storage bag (100). The slider (116, 216, 316) includes a first sidewall (130, 230), a second sidewall (132, 232), and a top wall (134) connecting the first and second sidewalls (130, 132). The slider (116, 216, 316) also includes pressing legs (136, 138) for pressing together interlocking profiles (122, 124,126, 128) of fastener strips (118, 120, 318), and a separating leg (140) for separating the interlocked profiles (122, 124). The slider (116, 216, 316) has an asymmetric configuration that allows the slider (116, 216, 316) to be moved closer to an end-stop (107) formed in the fastener strips (118, 120, 318).
