Abstract:
A slider for a slide fastener, which, when assembling the slider for the slide fastener, easily allows automatic assembly even of sliders of different shapes that correspond to different fastener elements with a minimum of adjustment, and a design method therefor. The slider is provided with a body (12), which has an upper plate (26) and a lower plate (28) and in which the upper plate (26) and the lower plate (28) are integrally connected by a guide pin (30) located on the front end (12a) thereof. Multiple parts (14, 20) are attached on the upper surface of the upper plate (26). The body (12) has different respective shapes corresponding to different kinds of fastener elements. The distance from an equipment reference position (T) for each body (12) that has a different shape to a first part reference position (S) at which a part (14) is held is made to be a common fixed distance (D1) in each of the different kinds of bodies (12). The distance from the equipment reference position (T) to a second part reference position (R) at which another part (20) is installed is made to be a common fixed distance (D2) in each of the different kinds of bodies (12).
