Abstract:
A sliding bearing (1) is formed in a cylindrical shape by a pair of halved bearings (11, 12). A dust pocket (4) formed as a recess portion is formed at an inner periphery edge of the abutting surfaces (11A, 12A) of the halved bearings (11, 12) and foreign object discharging grooves (5, 5) are continuously formed from the dust pocket (4) on a sliding surface (3). When a lubricant is supplied to the dust pocket (4), a foreign object (6) mixed in the lubricant is trapped by the dust pocket (4) and then is efficiently discharged through the foreign object discharging grooves (5, 5) to the outside of the sliding bearing (1). The sliding bearing (1) excellent in foreign object discharging characteristics can thereby be provided.
