Abstract:

In order to provide a low-cost, easily manufactured sliding bearing having a simple configuration, and with which friction torque can be kept low without requiring a heat-insulating sleeve or the like, a sliding bearing (1) is equipped with an inner ring (2), an outer ring (3), and a sliding member (4) interposed between this inner ring (2) and outer ring (3). At the outer circumference of the inner ring (2) there is a curved surface (2a) and at the inner circumference there is a bearing hole into which a support shaft is fitted. The sliding member (4) is formed of a resin composition, and has a curved surface (4a) which opposes and makes contact with the curved surface (2a) at the outer circumference of the inner ring (2), and moves in a sliding manner. The outer ring (3) does not make contact with the inner ring (2), and the sliding member (4) is supported at the inner circumferential side of the outer ring. Furthermore, the outer ring (3) has an aperture part (3d) at one end in the axial direction and a claw part (3a) at the edge of the aperture part, and when the sliding member (4) is mounted in the outer ring from the aperture part (3d), the sliding member is immobilized by the claw part (3a).
