Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sliding bearing which can obtain a friction reduction effect, and can suppress the total amount of oil flowing out. This sliding bearing (1) comprises halved members (2, 2) arranged above and below one another, said halved members comprising a cylinder that has been divided, parallel to the axial direction thereof, into two parts. Narrow grooves (3) in the circumferential direction are provided to the axial direction ends of the lower halved member (2). The rotational direction downstream ends of the narrow grooves (3) are close to a rotational direction downstream mating surface, and are set in a position in which the rotational direction downstream ends and the rotational direction downstream mating surface are not connected. The rotational direction upstream ends of the narrow grooves (3) are upstream from the rotational direction downstream ends, and are set in a position rotated upstream in the rotational direction by an angle of 90° or less from the rotational direction downstream mating surface.
