Abstract:
Provided are sliding components with which the accumulation of contaminants inside a shallow groove part of a dynamic pressure generation mechanism can be suppressed. A pair of sliding components 10, 20 form a ring arranged in a location where relative rotation occurs in a rotation mechanism, a sliding surface 11 of one sliding component 10 is provided with a plurality of dynamic pressure generation mechanisms 14 having at least a shallow groove part communicating with a leakage side, a sliding surface 21 of the other sliding component 20 is provided with a deep groove 22 that has a greater depth than that of the dynamic pressure generation mechanisms 14 and that communicates with the leakage side, and when relative rotation occurs the deep groove 22 overlaps the shallow groove part of the dynamic pressure generation mechanisms 14.
