Abstract:
Provided is a sliding constant-velocity universal joint 1 which is provided with six torque-transmitting balls 4 and in which the center of curvature O1 of a spherical outer peripheral surface 11 of a cage 5 and the center of curvature O2 of a spherical inner peripheral surface 12 are offset to opposite sides in an axial direction with respect to a joint center O, the sliding constant-velocity universal joint 1 being characterized by being used at a normal operating angle of 8-12°, and in that the ratio DBALL/DSPCD of the diameter BALL of the torque-transmitting balls 4 to the spline pitch circle diameter DSPCD of a connecting hole 13 in an inner joint member 3 is 0.80-0.86, the contact angle α between the torque-transmitting balls 4 and linear track grooves 7, 9 is 32-35°, and the contact ratio ψ between the torque-transmitting balls 4 and the linear track grooves 7, 9 is 1.05-1.08.
