Abstract:
Provided is a sliding material that has excellent wear resistance by having a hardness suitable for a bearing, and has excellent slidability by having low friction characteristics. This sliding material is made of a Cu-Ni-Si-based alloy and contains: 0.5-10.0 mass% of Ni; 0.1-5.0 mass% of Si; 0.1-5.0 mass% of Cr; and Cu and inevitable impurities as the remainder, with Sn being contained as an impurity. In order to improve slidability by providing the sliding material with low friction characteristics, it is preferable to include Bi, and it is preferable to include 2.0-20.0 mass% of Bi.
