Abstract:
A sliding member according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises: a sliding member body that contains a metal as a main component; and an outer layer that is directly layered on the surface of the sliding member body and contains a cross-linked fluororesin as a main component. The arithmetic mean roughness Ra1 is 0.035 μm or less for the surface of a waveform obtained by extracting the frequency components of a region having undulations with wavelengths in the range of 0.1-100.0 μm on the surface of the outer layer by a fast Fourier transform and carrying out an inverse Fourier transform on the data of the frequency components of a region having undulations with wavelengths in the range of 0.1-10.0 μm among the extracted frequency components.
