Abstract:
[Problem]
To provide a sliding component with which the performance of a plurality of dimples formed on a sliding surface can be sufficiently exploited, thus improving lubrication performance and sealing performance.
[Solution]
Provided is a pair of sliding components having respective sliding surfaces S that slide relative to each other, wherein at least one of the sliding surfaces S is equipped with a plurality of dimples 10, and the dimples 10 comprise a recessed portion 15 and a peripheral edge portion 11 that is shallower than the recessed portion 15 and is located at the outer perimeter of the recessed portion 15.
