Abstract:
A sliding-type constant-velocity joint 1 comprises an outside joint member 2 that has a plurality of straight track grooves 7 formed therein, an inside joint member 3 that has a plurality of straight track grooves 9 formed therein, a plurality of torque transmission balls 4, and a cage 5 that accommodates the torque transmission balls 4 in a pocket 5a. The center of curvature O1 of a spherical outer circumferential surface 11 of the cage 5 and the center of curvature O2 of a spherical inner circumferential surface 12 of the cage 5 are offset from a joint center O on opposite sides in the axial direction. The sliding-type constant-velocity joint 1 is characterized in that a spherical gap δ3 that allows for contact guidance is formed between a spherical outer circumferential surface Rc2 of the inside joint member 3 and the spherical inner circumferential surface 12 of the cage 5 and in that a positive axial direction gap is formed between the pocket 5a of the cage 5 and the torque transmission balls 4.
