Description:

Title : SLOPING GROUND CONSTRUCTION WORK METHOD AND SLOPING GROUND CONSTRUCTION FIXED

TOOL

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a method of

carrying out slope face construction and a fixing tool

used to carry out the slope face construction, in which

in order to protect an inclined face, i.e., a slope

face, occurring at road works and public works, after

the seed spray is conducted, a germination acceleration

cover is closely contacted on the slope face by use of

the fixing tool, thereby accelerating the germination of

seeds for quick tree-planting and supplying nutritive

elements to trees and grass by naturally decomposing the

germination acceleration cover.

Background Art

Generally, slope faces of cut grounds or filled

dirt, such as bank or cutting, occurring after public

works is provided with trees and grass on the surface of

the slope face so as to prevent earth and sand from

being washed away due to rainwater.

A sodding technique of directly putting in chunks

of sod on the slope face is generally used, in the state

in which the grass grows up to a certain extent. Such a

technique is required to gather wild grass or cultivate

the grass. Therefore, it is very difficult to supply the

grass. In addition, the technique may destroy the

environment, and excessive labor powers and times are

needed to carry out the method.

In order to solve the above problems, a seed spray

technique has been proposed to plant trees and grass by

spraying an adhesive agent containing seeds onto the

slope face. According to the proposed technique, a cover

is put on the sprayed surface of the slope face to

prevent evaporation of moisture, accelerate germination,

and supply nutritive elements to the trees and grass

since the cover is decomposed after the seeds germinate.

Also, anchor pins made of steel or plastic are

used to fix the cover against the surface of the

adhesive agent. However, there is another problem in

that since the anchor pins driven into the slope face

are not decomposed with a lapse of time, pollution

occurs along the slope face.

Best Mode

Reference will now be made in detail to the

preferred embodiment of the present invention.

A fixing tool for slope face construction

according to an embodiment of the present invention

includes, as shown in FIGs. 9 and 10, a press plate 2

and a fixing pin 1 inserted in the press plate 2, so

that a germination acceleration cover 6 is closely

contacted with a germination layer 5 to suppress

moisture evaporation from a surface of a slope face 4

covered with the germination layer 5 and keep warm of

the germination layer 5 thereby to supply nutritive

elements to the seeds.

The fixing pin 1 has a pin body 11 of a desired

length and a head 12 formed on an upper end of the pin

body and stroke with a hammer. A lower end of the head

12 is caught by a through hole 21 formed on the press

plate 2, so that the press plate 2 is pushed towards the

slope face 4.

To this end, the head 12 has a diameter D larger

than a diameter D" of the upper end of the pin body 11.

The lower end of the pin body 11 is pointed, so that the

fixing pin is deeply driven into the slope face 4.

Also, in order to easily drive the pin body 11

into the slope face 4, the pin body 11 has a taper shape

of which the diameter is gradually decreased from the

upper portion to the lower portion. The pin body 11 is

made of friendly environmental wood that can be

naturally decomposed after lapse of time in the state in

which it is driven into the slope face 4. The pin body

11 may be made of biodegradable plastic.

As shown in FIGs. 13 and 14, a release preventive

portion 13 is integrally formed on the lower end of the

pin body 11 so as to prevent the pin body 11 from being

released from the slope face 4 by the reverse tension

generated when the germination acceleration cover 6 is

lifted up from the slope face due to wind or heavy rain.

The release preventive portion 13 is formed in a conical

shape .

The release preventive portion 13 has an upper end

of a diameter D' larger than a diameter d" of a lower

end of the pin body 11 thereby to form a stepped portion

14.

In addition, the outer surface of the release

preventive portion 13 is engaged with a metal cap 15

having the same shape as that of the release preventive

portion 13, so that the pin body 11 can easily drive

into the hard slope face 4.

The press plate 2 has a wide cross area to safely

push a straw rope 7 and the germination acceleration

cover 6 down. As shown in FIGs. 9, 10, 13, and 14, the

press plate 2 has a through hole 21 of a desired

diameter formed on a center portion of a wood panel

having a desired thickness.

FIGs. 11 and 12 illustrate a steel pack 8 for

forming a preliminary groove 9 on the slope face 4 so as

to prevent the fixing pin 1 from damaged or inadequately

driven into the slope face 4 when the fixing pin 1 is

driven into the slope surface 4 of hard soil composed of

gravel and/or clay sand. A handle 81 is engaged to an

upper end of the steel pack 8 having a conical pointed

end.

FIGs. 6 and 7 are a cross-sectional view and a

plan view illustrating the state in which the

germination acceleration cover 6 is fixed on the slope

face 4 having the germination layer 5 by the fixing pin

1 and the press plate 2 according an embodiment of the

present invention.

As shown in the drawings, the surface of the slope

face 4 is covered with the germination layer 5 of a

desired thickness, and the germination layer 5 is

covered by the germination acceleration cover 6 so as to

suppress moisture evaporation from the germination layer

5 and keep warm of the germination layer 5. The corners

and center portion of the germination acceleration cover

6 are pushed down by the straw rope 7 to prevent the

germination acceleration cover 6 from being blown off by

wind.

Also, the straw rope 7 is fixed by the fixing pin

1 having the press plate 2 at the position, in which the

corners of the germination acceleration cover 6 are

across the straw rope 7, so as to provide the straw rope

7 with constant tension.

The germination acceleration cover 6 covering the

surface of the germination layer 5 is made of a rice

straw mat manufactured by plaiting rice straws.

Alternatively, the germination acceleration cover 6 may

be made of a coir net woven by a rope made of a bark of

a cocoa tree or a jute net woven by a jute fiber.

In case of covering the germination layer 5 with

the coir net or jute net, the net may be fixed by only

the fixing pin 1 having the press plate 2, without using

the straw rope 7. Also, the rice straw mat may be fixed

by a nylon rope or binding rope, in addition to the

straw rope 7.

The release preventive portion 13 must have a

diameter D' smaller than a diameter B of the through

hole 21 so that the fixing pin 1 is inserted into the

through hole 21 of the press plate 2.

Equation 1

D < B < D'

wherein B is the diameter of the through hole, D

is the diameter of the head, and D' is the diameter of

the release preventive portion.

In addition, in order to reduce an amount of the

wood used to manufacture the fixing pin 1, the following

Equation 2 should be satisfied.

Equation 2

D < D' < D" < D" '

wherein D is the diameter of the head, D' is the

diameter of the release preventive portion, D" is a

diameter of an upper end of the pin body, and D' ' ' is a

diameter of a lower end of the pin body.

Consequently, the amount of the required wood is

minimized, and also the fixing pin 1 is easily caught by

the through hole 21 of the press plate 2.

Explaining a method of carrying out the slope face

construction by use of the fixing tool, first, the slope

face 4 is repeatedly leveled by desired pressure in a

slope face compacting step SlO, so as to prevent earth

and sand from being washed away due to rainwater or

wind.

Next, a solution mixed with seeds, a coating

curing agent, a soil solidifying agent, a fertilizer,

and water is applied on the compacted slope face 4 to

cover a germination layer 5 in a seed planting step S20.

In a covering step S30, the germination acceleration

cover 6 is spread to cover a surface of the germination

layer 5 and thus prevent the evaporation of the moisture

and maintain the temperature of the germination layer 5.

And, the straw ropes 7 are crossly arrange on each

corner of the germination acceleration cover 6 covering

the germination layer 5, and the germination

acceleration cover 6 is closely contacted on the surface

of the germination layer 5 by driving the fixing tool

into the slope face 4 at both ends and crossed portions

of the straw ropes 7, in a cover fixing step S40.

Consequently, as the seeds germinate and grow up in the

germination layer 5, the slope face can be panted with

trees .

In this process, since the lower end of the head

12 formed on the upper end of the pin body 11 is caught

by the through hole 22 formed on the press plate 2, the

force pushing down the pressing plate 2 against the

slope face 4 is increased to prevent the straw rope 7 or

the cover 6 from being spaced apart from the slope

surface 4.

Also, the release preventive portion 13 integrally

formed on the lower end of the pin body 11 and the

stepped portion 14 formed on the release preventive

portion 13 can prevent the pin body 11 from being

released from the slope face 4 by the reverse tension

generated when the germination acceleration cover 6 is

lifted up from the slope face due to wind or heavy rain.

Next, after the construction is completed, the

germination acceleration cover 6, the fixing pin 1, the

press plate 2, and the straw rope 7 covering the upper

portion of the germination layer 5 are naturally

decomposed to supply nutritive elements to the trees.

Consequently, the tree-planting is accelerated and

pollution of the slope face is prevented.

Meanwhile, the lower end of the head 12 is caught

by the through hole 21 formed on the press plate 2 to

push down the germination acceleration cover 6 and the

straw rope 7 against the upper portion of the slope face

4, but the cross area or diameter of the head 12 can be

increased as the width of the press plate 2, as shown in

FIGs. 16 and 17, so that the lower portion of the head

directly pushes down the germination acceleration cover

6 and the straw rope 7 against the upper portion of the

slope face 4.

Industrial Applicability As can be seen from the foregoing, in order to

protect the slope face occurring at road works and

public works, after the seed spray is conducted, the

cover is closely contacted on the slope face by use of

the fixing tool made of wood to prevent the moisture

evaporation from the surface of the slope face and keep

warm of the germination layer. Consequently, the

germination is accelerated to achieve the tree-planting.

While this invention has been described in

connection with what is presently considered to be the

most practical and preferred embodiment, it is to be

understood that the invention is not limited to the

disclosed embodiment and the drawings. On the contrary,

it is intended to cover various modifications and

variations within the spirit and scope of the appended

claims .
